BIOGRAPHY
Maryam Javaheri was born in Tehran and received her Fine Arts degree from Tehran University. After some advance study in Europe, she continued her fine arts education at New York University and the Art Students League in New York in the early 1960’s. Independently, she has worked under the tutorledge of such prominent American painters as Ad Reinhardt, Adolf Gottlieb, and Will Barnett. She has won several awards, and has had numerous single and group shows in the United States and Iran. She has also participated in a few international exhibitions.
